Google Stonewalling On FCC Street View Docs, Group Says

Law360, New York (May 18, 2012, 5:41 PM EDT) -- Consumer Watchdog on Thursday fired back at Google Inc.’s insistence that certain documents related to the Federal Communications Commission’s privacy probe of its Street View service should remain confidential, arguing that the company had revealed this information in a previous patent application.

The consumer group asked the FCC on May 1 to hand over all documents related to its completed investigation into Google’s collection of private data through its Street View cars, but Google countered much of this request by arguing that portions are commercially sensitive...
