Expanding DCAA Access To Contractor Records

Law360, New York (June 5, 2012, 1:21 PM EDT) -- The Defense Contract Audit Agency recently issued its annual report to Congress which included a request to expand the DCAA’s subpoena authority by granting the DCAA statutory access to contractors’ internal audit materials under 10 U.S.C. § 2313. This request follows a December 2011 report by the Government Accountability Office that criticized the DCAA’s methods for obtaining internal audit materials from contractors.
