Seroquel Plaintiffs Object To Dismissal Conversions

Law360, New York (September 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in the massive multidistrict product liability case over bipolar disorder treatment Seroquel fought back Thursday against AstraZeneca LP’s requests to throw out hundreds of cases for good.

For weeks, AstraZeneca has been filing motions with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, requesting that cases that have already been dismissed without prejudice be converted and dismissed with prejudice. But now representative counsel for the plaintiffs has filed an objection to the drug-maker’s request, calling the move unnecessary.
