J&J Unit Targets Haupt, Ranbaxy Birth Control Generics

Law360, New York (May 23, 2012, 1:13 PM EDT) -- A Johnson & Johnson unit on Monday hit two generic-drug makers with patent infringement suits in New Jersey federal court over their plans to make unbranded versions of the birth control pill Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo.

Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc., sued Germany-based Haupt Pharma AG's U.S. unit, Haupt Pharma Inc., as well as India-based Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. and its New Jersey-based unit, Ranbaxy Laboratories Inc.
