VA Budget Is Exempt From Automatic Cuts, GAO Says

Law360, New York (May 23, 2012, 7:31 PM EDT) -- U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs spending, including spending on military health care, is exempt from sequestration, a process of automatic budget cuts set to kick in in January, according to a Monday legal opinion by the U.S. Government Accountability Office.
