Ford, Honeywell Win Big In Pa. Asbestos Test Case

Law360, New York (May 24, 2012, 5:31 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court handed Ford Motor Co. and Honeywell International Inc. a significant victory on Wednesday with the dismissal of a deceased auto mechanic's lawsuit that was considered a test case as to how asbestos-related mesothelioma lawsuits are prosecuted.

The court unanimously reversed the Pennsylvania Superior Court's May 2010 resurrection of a suit alleging that mechanic Charles Simikian contracted cancer from asbestos exposure while working in the automobile repair industry.
