Pilots Can't Appeal AMR Ruling Straight To 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (May 24, 2012, 2:23 PM EDT) -- A New York bankruptcy judge on Thursday denied the Allied Pilots Association union's bid to appeal straight to the Second Circuit his summary judgment ruling for bankrupt American Airlines Inc. parent AMR Corp. in a labor dispute between the parties.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean H. Lane said the APA hadn't done enough to show that the case rose to the level of requiring Second Circuit review, rather than review by the next-level court of appeal, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York....
