AMS Seeks Approval Of Disclosure Statement

Law360, New York (September 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two weeks after filing its Chapter 11 liquidation plan, bankrupt book marketer Advanced Marketing Services Inc. has asked the court to approve its disclosure statement and establish procedures for creditors to vote on the plan.

In a motion filed Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, AMS declared that its disclosure statement should be approved by the court because it provides “adequate information.” The motion also pushed for the enactment of its proposed voting procedures.
