Insurer's Claims Against Ex-Fishing Show Host Tossed

Law360, New York (May 29, 2012, 4:54 PM EDT) -- An Ohio federal judge on Tuesday dismissed claims against a former TV show host in a South Carolina insurer's lawsuit seeking a declaration that it has no responsibility to cover a production company for allegedly infringing the copyright of the host's fishing show.

U.S. District Judge Sandra S. Beckwith dismissed elective Insurance Co. of South Carolina's claims against Ewell E. Parker for lack of personal jurisdiction, saying Parker did not have enough ties to Ohio, where the suit was filed, for claims against him to continue....
