McKool Smith Opens ITC-Focused D.C. Office

Law360, New York (September 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In response to a spike in the U.S. International Trade Commission's involvement in patent spats, McKool Smith PC, long a mainstay on the eastern Texas district court docket, has opened a Washington, D.C., office and stocked it with two intellectual property litigators it grabbed from Adduci Mastriani & Schaumberg LLP.

Both of the new office's founding partners, Michael McManus and Rodney Sweetland III, called the move a natural transition and attributed it to their mutual interests in deepening their work on IP issues. At Washington specialty...
