Senate Revives Controversial Contractor Exec Pay Cap

Law360, New York (May 30, 2012, 6:41 PM EDT) -- The Senate Armed Services Committee's 2013 defense spending bill includes a provision to lower the amount that the U.S. Department of Defense will pay contractor executives to $237,000 per year, reviving a policy that failed to make headway in the House of Representatives' recently passed National Defense Authorization Act.

The pay cap is part of the committee's May 24 markup of the Senate NDAA and is lower than that in a failed amendment to the House NDAA, which would have allowed the DOD to reimburse contractors...
