Law360, New York (May 31, 2012, 1:57 PM EDT) -- An Illinois federal judge on Wednesday kept alive a suit brought by patent licensing company Cascades Computer Innovation LLC against Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., finding Cascades has more than adequately alleged claims against both defendants.
U.S. District Judge Robert W. Gettleman denied Motorola and Samsung's instant motion to dismiss Cascades' third amended complaint, holding that the suit satisfies the requirements for a claim of direct infringement.
