Zep, Westinghouse Call Truce In Solar Panel IP War

Law360, New York (May 31, 2012, 5:48 PM EDT) -- Zep Solar Inc. and Westinghouse Solar Inc. said Thursday that they have reached a comprehensive settlement of their legal disputes, including their fight before the U.S. International Trade Commission, bringing an end to their patent battle over solar panel and mounting system technologies.

The companies said in a joint statement that they expect the agreement will result in the dismissal of all federal court actions and the ITC matter. The settlement extends to all customers, suppliers and licensees of both Zep and Westinghouse who were named in any of the legal actions, the companies said.
