Travelers Ordered To Pay For Sequa Unit's Polluted Sites

Law360, New York (June 1, 2012, 10:40 PM EDT) -- A Delaware court held Wednesday that a 1997 coverage suit settlement with Sequa Corp. does not absolve Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of its duty to provide environmental coverage to a subsidiary of the industrial company.

Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock III granted a motion to dismiss the suit Travelers brought against Sequa and subsidiary car parts maker Atlantic Research Corp., finding Travelers had failed to prove that the 15-year-old settlement precluded coverage to ARC.
