Law360, New York (June 15, 2012, 6:22 PM EDT) -- Contingency fee agreements between state attorneys general and private attorneys to sue deep-pocketed corporate defendants are increasingly under fire — as shown in separate constitutional challenges by drug giants GlaxoSmithKline PLC, Merck & Co. Inc. and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP — but corporations have had more luck fighting the agreements in the statehouse than the courthouse, attorneys say.
