Electrolux Can't Evade Heat In State Farm Dryer Fire Suit

Law360, New York (June 4, 2012, 6:05 PM EDT) -- Electrolux Home Products Inc. cannot dodge allegations that home fires from an alleged defect in its clothes dryers forced State Farm Fire & Casualty Co. to pay out $12.2 million in insurance claims, an Illinois federal judge reaffirmed Monday.

U.S. District Judge Suzanne B. Conlon rejected the company's motion for reconsideration or interlocutory appeal of her April decision to deny the appliance manufacturer's motion to dismiss State Farm's suit.
