Calif. Gov. Seeks To Ease Enviro Review For $68B Rail Project

Law360, San Diego (June 4, 2012, 7:45 PM EDT) -- With an environmental lawsuit filed Friday over California’s $68.4 billion high-speed rail plan and more suits expected, Gov. Jerry Brown is looking to expedite court review of the project by relaxing some requirements under the California Environmental Quality Act, according to sources familiar with the proposal.
