Egg Co. Faces Suit Over Salmonella Outbreak Death

Law360, New York (June 4, 2012, 7:48 PM EDT) -- A California man on Friday launched a wrongful death suit in state court against Quality Egg LLC, whose salmonella-infected eggs allegedly sickened almost 2,000 people and killed at least one, leading to a massive recall and a government probe.

David Marlais sued the company, which does business as Wright County Egg, for the death of his father Mate Marlais, who died after contracting salmonella enteritidis from WCE eggs he ate at a California restaurant.
