Judge Pares Defenses Deflecting Wildfire Blame To USFS

Law360, New York (June 5, 2012, 6:15 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday agreed to toss several affirmative defenses in the federal government's suit alleging Sierra Pacific Industries Inc. and others were to blame for causing a massive wildfire that burned 65,000 acres in Plumas and Lassen counties in September 2007.
