Toy Problems May Not Be A "Made In China" Issue

Law360, New York (September 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A recent spate of high-profile toy recalls has put China in the spotlight for shoddy manufacturing. But Mattel’s statement on Friday that most of its products had been pulled because of “design flaws” has underlined the possibility that the recalls may have more to do with toy safety than China, lawyers say.
