6th Circ. Lets Novartis Off Hook In Bone Drug Liability Suit

Law360, New York (June 6, 2012, 7:29 PM EDT) -- The Sixth Circuit on Tuesday upheld a lower court's decision that Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. wasn't liable for a patient's disease contracted after taking the company's bone drugs, agreeing the plaintiff's experts in the suit — part of ongoing multidistrict litigation — weren't qualified to link the illness to the drugs.
