Calif. City Strikes Enviro Claim From Gas Lease Fight

Law360, Los Angeles (June 6, 2012, 8:23 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Wednesday struck down a claim that the city of Whittier failed to conduct a required environmental review in a lawsuit alleging it improperly leased 1,300 acres of open land to Matrix Oil Corp. and Clayton Williams Energy Inc. for oil and gas development.
