WR Grace To Pay $20M To Settle Mont. Asbestos Claims

Law360, New York (June 6, 2012, 7:48 PM EDT) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge signed off Wednesday on an asbestos settlement between W.R. Grace & Co. and a group of Montana claimants, allowing the company to transfer $19.5 million into a trust and thereby end its relationship with a medical program.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Judith K. Fitzgerald approved the deal with the claimants, residents of Libby, Mont., which will see W.R. Grace transfer to an entity known as the LMP Trust all rights and duties related to the Libby Medical Program and simultaneously make a $19.5...
