Feds Lose Bid To Bar Experts In FCPA Trial

Law360, New York (June 7, 2012, 3:30 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Tuesday denied most of the federal government's request to exclude 10 expert witnesses designated by former Control Components Inc. executive David Edmonds to testify in his upcoming trial over allegations he bribed foreign officials for business.

U.S. District Judge James V. Selna called excluding experts a "drastic remedy," moving to exclude only one of the experts, who could offer testimony relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Edmonds' benefit or lack thereof from the alleged wrongdoing, computer data retrieval and doing...
