Plaintiffs Deny Desire For Seal In Aredia Case

Law360, New York (September 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Throwing blame back onto Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp., the plaintiffs have denied wanting to seal documents in the product liability litigation over bone cancer drugs Aredia and Zometa, after the judge demanded to know why the material should not be made public.

On Thursday, the plaintiffs' steering committee scoffed at the notion that it was the one pushing for the seal, filing its answer in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee to the show cause order issued last week.
