Best Buy Sued Over V-Chip Patent In Canada

Law360, New York (May 22, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A company that owns the patents covering V-chip television technology has sued Best Buy Canada for selling television sets that allegedly infringe on its patents.

Tri-Vision Electronics, which makes set-top boxes and other devices for cable television companies, sued Best Buy Canada in Federal Court of Canada, seeking an order stopping Best Buy from selling the infringing patents.
