MicroUnity Adds New Patents To Infringement Case

Law360, New York (September 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- MicroUnity Systems Engineering Inc. has added three patents and dropped four others from a lawsuit that accuses graphics processing unit maker Advanced Micro Devices Inc. of infringing its semiconductor processing technology.

According to an amended complaint filed Thursday with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, all three of the new patents were issued this May by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. The dropped patents, on the other hand, had all been issued in 1998.
