Invista Adviser Details EPA Report In $744M DuPont Trial

Law360, New York (June 11, 2012, 5:18 PM EDT) -- An environmental consultant for Koch Industries Inc. unit Invista testified Monday that she advised the company to report environmental violations at plants it purchased from DuPont Co. to avoid massive fines, as trial over the company’s $744.6 million suit entered its second week.

Invista claims DuPont knowingly sold it plants that needed expensive upgrades to be brought into compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, while DuPont says Invista is looking for ways to force DuPont to pay for upgrades.
