FAR Removes Public Disclosures From Sole-Source Contracts

Law360, New York (June 14, 2012, 4:15 PM EDT) -- A recent Federal Acquisition Regulation rule requiring agencies to produce written justification for awarding sole-source contracts for more than $20 million before negotiations was corrected Thursday to delete language making the justification public.

No explanation was given for the amendment, and a FAR Council procurement analyst was not immediately available Thursday for further information surrounding the change.
