AG, Advocates Appeal Permits For Coal-Fired Plants

Law360, New York (September 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Illinois attorney general and a band of environmental organizations have appealed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's decision to grant Midwest Generation LLC permits for six coal-fired power plants.

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan and the group of environmental advocates, including the Sierra Club, Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago, Citizens Against Ruining the Environment, Little Village Environmental Justice Organization and Environment Illinois, on Friday filed separate petitions of review with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
