Oil Tycoon Accuses Goldman Of Conspiring To Block Financing

Law360, New York (June 15, 2012, 4:20 PM EDT) -- Independent oil prospector Jack J. Grynberg launched a suit in New Jersey federal court Tuesday accusing Goldman Sachs Group Inc. of conspiring to keep his company from receiving capital financing.

Grynberg, a Colorado-based oil developer who has filed numerous lawsuits against companies and countries over the past 20 years, claims Goldman and its affiliate Goldman Sachs International blackballed Grynberg to other large lenders in retaliation for a whistleblower suit Grynberg brought against BP PLC and Statoil ASA in 1996.
