Senators Encourage ITC To Keep Roller Bearing Duties

Law360, New York (June 19, 2012, 5:32 PM EDT) -- A group of senators on Monday urged the U.S. International Trade Commission to keep in place an anti-dumping duty order on tapered roller bearings from China, saying it was necessary to protect domestic producers.

The lawmakers, led by Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, said they believed the ITC should find — as the commission did in two previous administrative reviews — that revoking the order would result in continued harm to domestic roller bearing producers, specifically the Canton, Ohio-based Timken Co.
