GE Says Cybersquatting Ultrasound Dealer Infringes Marks

Law360, New York (June 19, 2012, 12:02 PM EDT) -- General Electric Co. on Friday accused a medical equipment dealer of cybersquatting, alleging in California federal court that the company illegally incorporated trademarked names of GE ultrasound brands into several Internet domain names.

United Diagnostic Solutions Inc. — which sells used ultrasound equipment to private physicians, hospitals and clinics — incorporated the names of GE’s trademarked Logiq, Vivid and Volusion brand ultrasound machines into several of its domain names, according to GE.
