Sens. Pressure High Court To Televise Health Law Decision

Law360, Washington (June 19, 2012, 5:55 PM EDT) -- Two top legislators in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee asked the high court on Monday to publicly televise its much-anticipated health care reform ruling, despite the court's long-standing refusal to allow video broadcasts of its proceedings.

Although the Supreme Court has previously declined to televise past rulings — as well the health care hearings themselves — despite keen public interest, that history didn't deter Sen.
