Universities Oppose Key Aspects Of Proposed Patent Reform

Law360, New York (June 2, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group representing university technology transfer officers is opposing many of the measures in a proposed sweeping reform of the U.S. patent system.

The Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), a professional association of university technology transfer professionals and their counterparts in industry and government organizations throughout the world, is expected to tell Congress next week that it opposes several elements of the proposal advanced by the House of Representatives’ Judiciary Subcommittee on the Courts, the Internet and Intellectual Property.
