Honeywell Claims City Should Pay For Cleanup

Law360, New York (September 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The municipality that owns a polluted site run by Honeywell International Inc. should pay the industrial supplies maker compensation for all past and future cleanup, the company has claimed.

Honeywell on Monday shot off amended counterclaims against the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority and the Jersey City Incinerator Authority in New Jersey, claiming that since the authorities would benefit from the company's cleanup operations, they should provide compensation.
