Blagojevich Fundraiser Arrested For Alleged Bribe Scheme

Law360, Chicago (June 20, 2012, 7:42 PM EDT) -- An Illinois businessman and reported former fundraiser for ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested Wednesday on fraud and tax charges for allegedly bribing doctors for patient referrals to the surgery centers he owns.

Raghuveer Nayak, 57, is facing 10 counts of mail fraud, five counts of interstate travel tied to racketeering and four counts of filing false income tax returns in the federal indictment a grand jury returned last week. An Illinois federal court unsealed the indictment after Nayak's arrest.
