Toll Bros. Agrees To Settle Water Pollution Suit

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 7:50 PM EDT) -- Luxury home builder Toll Brothers Inc. has reportedly struck a $741,000 settlement with federal prosecutors and the states of Maryland and Virginia over alleged repeat violations of the Clean Water Act, according to filings in Pennsylvania federal court Wednesday.

The federal government, Maryland and Virginia hit Horsham, Pa.-based Toll Brothers with the environmental suit Wednesday, alleging more than 600 violations of storm water discharge permits issued under the CWA at 14 Toll Brothers-owned sites between 2003 and 2009.
