ITC Leaves Pipe Fitting Duties In Place For Italy, Others

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 7:27 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission will not drop existing anti-dumping duty orders on stainless steel butt-weld pipe fittings from Italy, Malaysia and the Philippines, it said Wednesday, finding that lifting the orders would lead to damage to the domestic industry in the near future.

“As a result of the commission's affirmative determinations, the existing orders on imports of these products from these countries will remain in place,” the ITC said in a statement.

All six ITC commissioners voted to keep the duties, according to the announcement....
