Pilots Union Shoots Down American Airlines' Last Offer

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 10:04 PM EDT) -- The Allied Pilots Association's board of directors on Wednesday rejected bankrupt American Airlines Inc.'s final contract offer, leaving their fates in the hands of a bankruptcy judge who is expected to rule Friday on whether the airline can reject the current labor agreement.

The APA's board voted 11-5 against the offer, which means it will not be sent to the union membership for a ratification vote. The union will now wait for U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean H. Lane's ruling in a drawn-out battle over American Airlines...
