Patent Reform Bill Advances In U.S. House

Law360 (June 6, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bill calling for sweeping reforms of the U.S. patent system could be introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives this week.

A version of the patent reform committee draft is expected to be introduced in the House of Representatives, perhaps as early as Tuesday, Dennis Crouch, a patent attorney at McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP, reported.

The House subcommittee on the Courts and Intellectual Property is scheduled to hold a hearing on the legislation on Thursday, according to Crouch.
