EU Panel Votes To Reject Global Anti-Piracy Pact

Law360, New York (June 21, 2012, 4:37 PM EDT) -- Members of the European Parliament's trade committee on Thursday voted against the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, casting doubt on the fate of the controversial intellectual property protection treaty before the full parliament votes on it in July.

The parliament's International Trade Committee rejected the accord by a 19-12 vote with no abstentions, according to a statement.
