Foes Of $2B Blackstone Line Muzzled Before Key Hearings

Law360, New York (June 25, 2012, 3:44 PM EDT) -- Experts who predict Blackstone Group LP will fail to pay for an estimated $2 billion Quebec-to-New York City power line purely by selling electricity on the open market saw their testimony stricken Friday as New York regulators tightened the scope of arguable issues at upcoming hearings.

The New York Public Service Commission nixed testimony by Michael M. Schnitzer, a consultant for Entergy Corp., which owns the Indian Point Nuclear facility and opposes the private equity project.
