Bio-Rad Claims Infringment Of Microplate Patent

Law360 (September 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Biotech company Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc. has filed a lawsuit against Eppendorf AG alleging patent infringement over a piece of equipment typically used in life science and genetic research.

In a lawsuit filed on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Bio-Rad alleges that the Hamburg, Germany-based Eppendorf has infringed on the company's patent for a “thin-well microplate” and the methods of making that device.
