LexisNexis Still Faces Claims It Misreported Workers' Info

Law360, New York (June 26, 2012, 4:11 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge again refused to toss a proposed class action claiming LexisNexis Risk Solutions Inc. illegally distributed damaging information about retail workers to current and potential employers, rejecting the company’s argument that new allegations were time-barred.

U.S. District Court Judge Jan E. DuBois denied LexisNexis’ motion to dismiss the retail workers’ amended complaint that included beefed up allegations the company had failed to provide adequate safeguards to verify the accuracy of employee background checks and willfully violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
