With $300M, VC Firm Braemar Energy Closes 3rd Fund

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 3:47 PM EDT) -- New York-based energy industry venture capital firm Braemar Energy Ventures has launched its third fund with $300 million in capital commitments and will focus on venture- and expansion-stage energy technology companies, Braemar said Wednesday.

The global firm, which typically makes early- to mid-stage investments in the energy technology sector, said the fund, Braemar Energy Ventures III LP, was oversubscribed and closed with the maximum allotted amount of funding.
