States Rip Deal In 'Predatory' Debt Relief Class Action

Law360, New York (June 28, 2012, 7:45 PM EDT) -- More than two dozen states on Wednesday got behind a challenge to a settlement in a class action targeting law firm Persels & Associates LLC and others over allegedly predatory debt settlement programs, urging the Eleventh Circuit to reverse a lower court's approval of the deal.
