UPS Fights To Sever Drivers’ Age Bias Claims

Law360, New York (September 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- United Parcel Service Inc. has asked a federal court to sever the cases of a group of drivers who sued the shipping company over alleged age discrimination, arguing that the plaintiffs are improperly joined in the action.

In court documents filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, UPS said the plaintiffs have tried to “muddy the waters” by misstating key facts and focusing on irrelevant discovery issues.
