Law360, New York (July 5, 2012, 3:53 PM EDT) -- Seeking an authoritative decision on the validity of the Defense of Marriage Act, the Obama administration filed two petitions on Tuesday asking the U.S. Supreme Court to determine whether the law's definition of marriage as between a man and a woman for federal purposes is unconstitutional.
