Texas Dead Last In Health Care Quality, Federal Study Says

Law360, New York (July 6, 2012, 5:19 PM EDT) -- Texas ranks last in the U.S. when it comes to overall health care quality, according to a recently released government report that annually measures the quality of health care delivery in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Using 155 measures of health care delivery and outcomes, ranging from types of care to treatment of major ailments such as cancer and heart disease, that can be compared among states, Texas scored 31.61 out of a possible 100 points, according to the U.S. Department of Health...
